About the video: Frank Avila disucssses the Yearly Kos convention and the netroots and progressive political movements with Tanya Harned and Kay Shepherd representatives of ePuribus Media, ePluribus Media is a cooperative of citizen volunteers dedicated to researching issues of common concern and encouraging the highest standards of ethics and journalism, and Ilona Meagher Ilona Meagher is editor of the online journal PTSD Combat: Winning the War Within and earliest force behind the ePluribus Media PTSD Timeline, a comprehensive database of press- and independently-reported OEF/OIF PTSD-related incidents.

By all accounts, ePluribus Media, a citizen journalism initiative, is the only group tracking cases of possible, probable or confirmed reports of post-combat reintegration difficulties, making them publicly available for further research, study and reporting. Their work has been accessed by government bodies such as Senator John Kerry’s office, dozens of media outlets, researchers, journalists and veterans organizations.

A former 15-year domestic and international flight attendant with a major air carrier who shifted to new media design and development beginning in 2002, Ilona is a citizen journalist for ePluribus Media and a contributing writer to General Wesley Clark’s Clark Community Network Troops & Vets series on PTSD. She has co-authored the three-part series, “Blaming the Veteran: The Politics of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder,” with D.E. Ford, MSW, and retired Naval Commander Jeff Huber, as well as contributed nearly 100 online commentaries on the topic of combat PTSD/reintegration to various online communities, most significantly ePluribus Media and Daily Kos. http://scoop.epluribusmedia.org/ http://combat.blogspot.com/

ePluribusmedia.org is an interesting web initiative - citizen journalism with a soul. They've captured what old style journalism used to be. Another form of communication, but with fact-checking!
